Meet Our Team
NPHWC owners are a team of local Nurse Practitioners who came together to help improve access to health care services in their local community. The team comes from humble beginnings and they are proud of the their personal and professional journeys which led them to develop a Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic in Corner Brook NL. Since opening in February 2022, the NPHWC has expanded to include casual NPs and the clinic would not be what it is today without their level of expertise and commitment to the organization and those unattached clients the NPHWC primarily serves.
The NPHWC team is committed to professionalism, excellence, and safe and competent client/family-centered care.
If you would like to know more about the NPHWC team, please read the individual biographies below. Thank-you for your interest in the NPHWC.
Travis Sheppard BA, BN, RN, MN, NP FAA
Owner
Nurse Practitioner
Travis Sheppard was born and raised in a small fishing community, Brig Bay, on the Great Northern Peninsula. He is a proud husband and a father of two small children which motivates him to be innovative and play a significant role in the development of a bright future for Newfoundland and Labrador – a future beaming with excitement and opportunity for his young boys.
Travis’ passion extends into his educational pursuits as well, which is notable due to his diverse academic background. Travis currently holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, Bachelor of Nursing degree, and Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner degree from Memorial University and plans to continue furthering his education in the years to come. He has experience working in the areas of acute care medicine, critical care, primary care, mental health and addictions. In pursuit of a health sustaining future for this province, he also works as a nurse educator and hopes to inspire the next generation of nursing students to be innovative problem solvers.
Personally, Travis most enjoys any activity where he is spending time with family especially camping adventures with his wife and boys during the summer season. Travis is also a musician at heart and he thoroughly enjoys the performing arts – music is core component of his heritage and has been foundational to his sustained health and wellbeing in both his personal and professional life.
Angela House BN, RN, MN-NP
Casual Nurse Practitioner FAA
Angela grew up in Port Saunders and is still proud to call it home. Post secondary studies brought her down to Corner Brook and after working in Stephenville and Port Saunders for short stints, she has settled down with her family in Irishtown. Working full time as community supports NP, there is always a chance to find her at the hockey rink or softball field - doing what she loves, supporting her children. Quiet time is well spent at the cabin with her family and their furry girl, Sadie. We are thankful for Angela's service to the NPHWC.
Jordan Audeau BN, RN, MN-NP
Casual Nurse Practitioner FAA
Jordan was born and raised here in Corner Brook. He graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing degree from Western Regional School of Nursing and spent the last 10 years working as a Registered Nurse mostly in the Emergency Room and Intensive Care Unit. When not at work, he and his wife Janice love spending time with their dog Phoebe, watching sports like Basketball and Football, and you may find him at a local craft brewery from time to time. After spending 2 years in St John's working in the Health Science Center, he and Janice moved back home to Corner Brook and opened up a locally owned/operated Pharmacy. He recently graduated from Athabasca University with a Masters in Nursing - Nurse Practitioner degree and has expressed his excitement to assist with provision of healthcare in the Western Region through the Nurse Practitioner Health and Wellness Clinic. We are very grateful for Jordan deciding to come onboard with our collaborative team of NPs.

This program is highly competitive and Maci's acceptance is a testament to her drive for success as she continually strives to achieve her personal and professional best! We are forever grateful to have Maci as part of our NPHWC team and we know she will continue to be an asset to the healthcare system upon graduating from her respective program.
Jennifer Pardy
